This is a demonstration of a robot wheelchair which 'knows' about the layout of a small home and can take the occupant anywhere in the home at the press of a button, avoiding obstacles etc. The wheelchair has a joystick control as well for personal navigation.
This is a 'Barbie' doll in a wheelchair which will be converted, or used as a model, to build the robot. The small home is just adapted from the design of a real single story building, similar to shown below.
It will be populated with furniture and appliances to simulate a real home and used to test real life wheelchair driving vs robot driving.
