The electrics on the van were essential to most things that we used. The water pump was electric, so was the lighting and the fridge The heater, while gas, was controlled by electricity. We even had electric ignition for the cooker, though a match would suffice if needed. Wiring up the van was a key task.
There were three phases to the wiring, the first was to get something working which meant we could use the van to get away to St Ives, our first trip away. The second phase was to complete what was thought to be it, everything wired up and working. The third, and currently last, was to redo a lot to fix/get round a lot of the problems we found when we started using Lemmie, and which saw us through living in the van successfully for three and a half weeks. It could have been more, but occasionally my work expects me to turn up!
