New fridge arrives
and once unpacked, looks a lot like the old one, but newer
Recording a few details for the future, once it's in the van it'll be difficult to see the rear.
Testing operation before trying to fit it, using one of the deinstalled batteries.
To turn on the ventilation fans underneath the fridge when installed, jumper cables had to be made up to connect to the fan connectors on the rear of the fridge. When the fridge fan runs, the ventilation fans also run, the drive current for all cannot exceed 1A.
The fitting brackets, made especially for the old fridge, fit the new one perfectly and were transferred across.
The new fridge was slid into position and the end support of the kitchen unit screwed back into position. The board cover on the top of the fridge is to contain the airflow from the ventilation fans when the fridge is pushed back against the foam attached to the van wall.
A tangle of wires has appeared again as rewiring begins. They actually have labels on them!
The new fridge slid back into position and screwed in place.
With the new fridge now in place, the bed was refitted. It was also the opportunity to recover and tie up the bundle of wires running across the back of the under bed space.
